Baltimore Ravens Running Back Takes Huge Step at Practice
The Baltimore Ravens should have one of their offensive stars back sooner than later. Running back J.K. Dobbins was listed as a full participant at practice Wednesday:
Dobbins was a game-time decision for the Ravens in Week 1, but the team elected to hold him out for their season opener against the New York Jets out of an abundance of caution. Dobbins is recovering from a preseason ACL tear that cost him the entirety of the 2021 season. His return should prove a huge boost to the offense in the team's Week 2 matchup against the Miami Dolphins.#Ravens RB JK Dobbins (knee) took a big step today, being a full participant in practice.

The 55th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, Dobbins was sensational in his rookie season for the Ravens, rushing for 805 yards on an explosive 6.0 yards per carry and helping the team finish first in the league in total rushing and yards per attempt. The Ravens fell from seventh in scoring in 2020 to 17th in 2021 during his absence. Should he pick up where he left off, and if quarterback Lamar Jackson can have better health than he did last year, the Ravens should quickly reestablish themselves as the league's dominant rushing attack.
