Arizona Cardinals Legend Joins Monday Night Countdown Team
While he never officially announced it, Larry Fitzgerald seemingly retired this off-season, after stating he has little desire to return to the game and the team that he's loved and played for over the past 17 years, and now, it's become as official as ever, as Fitzgerald officially announced that he'd be joining the Monday Night Countdown crew. Larry became a legend in Arizona, spending his entire career with the Cardinals, putting up 17,492 receiving yards and 121 Touchdown's, but unfortunately, despite his best efforts, could help Arizona clinch their first Super Bowl.
Despite the lack of success in the playoffs, Fitzgerald is regarded as one of the greatest receivers the game has ever seen, as his professionalism, consistent production and personality made him one of the most popular players in the entire NFL. Now, Fitzgerald will bring all of that knowledge to the screen, as he joins the Monday Night Countdown team full-time from 2022.Future Hall-of-Fame WR Larry Fitzgerald announced he will be a part of ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown”. It's sad that Fitzgerald never got a proper send off or the chance to lead the Cardinals to the Super Bowl, but he had an absolutely legendary career in Arizona, which will undoubtedly lead him to the Hall of Fame. Fortunately, he's going to stick around the game of football, and help introduce the sport to a whole new generation, while entertaining and informing those who were lucky enough to see him play over the past 17 seasons.
