All the Biggest Injury News Ahead of the Week 2 Early Games
With the early slate of Week 2 games right around the corner, here's all the latest on the key actives and inactives around the league:
-Defensive Lineman J.J. Watt is poised to make his 2022 regular season debut for the Arizona Cardinals against the Las Vegas Raiders after missing Week 1 with a calf injury.
-Wide receiver Chris Godwin, wide receiver Julio Jones, and offensive tackle Donovan Smith are OUT for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their crucial NFC South matchup against the New Orleans Saints. The Bucs will lean hard on wide receivers Mike Evans and Russell Gage in the passing game despite both entering the game with ailments of their own.
-Running back J.K. Dobbins remains OUT for the Baltimore Ravens this week against the Miami Dolphins. The team is exercising extreme caution with their young runner as he recovers from last year's ACL tear. Running back Kenyan Drake should continue to see touches in his absence. Ravens offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley also remains OUT. Cornerbacks Marcus Peters and Marlon Humphrey will both play.
-New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara is OUT with a rib injury for the team's showdown with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Running backs Mark Ingram and Tony Jones will likely split carries in his absence. Quarterback Jameis Winston is fully expected to play.
-Indianapolis Colts linebacker Shaquille Leonard and wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. are OUT against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Defensive lineman DeForest Buckner will play despite a hip injury.
