Carolina Panthers quarterback Sam Darnold went down with an apparent left ankle injury during the Panthers last preseason game on Friday against the Buffalo Bills.
It does not look good.

The final score of the exhibition match was 21-0 with Carolina winning convincingly.
Baker Mayfield was officially announced the starter this past week after both Mayfield and Darnold battled for the starting position throughout the duration of training camp this summer.
