Update: Aaron Donald at Center of Huge Brawl at Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals Joint Practice
More details have emerged regarding a massive fight that broke out today at Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals joint practices today. Three-time Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald was seen repeatedly attacking Bengals players with a loose helmet:

Speculation immediately emerged that Donald could face league discipline for the assault; Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett was suspended indefinitely following a similar attack during a Thursday Night Football broadcast in 2019. Garrett eventually missed six games before being reinstated.

Typically, the NFL leaves teams to discipline their own players over behaviour during practice, but given that the fight occurred during joint sessions against Bengals players, it hardly makes sense for the Rams to set the punishment. Considering the severity and persistence of the attack as well as the clarity of the footage, Donald could easily be looking at a multi-game ban should the league decide to step in.
More to come.
