TRADE: Pittsburgh Steelers Acquire Offensive Lineman From Minnesota Vikings
The Pittsburgh Steelers have a bit more competition along their offensive line. The team acquired tackle Jesse Davis in a trade with the Minnesota Vikings, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports:
Davis brings the Steelers a remarkably durable, versatile veteran with plenty of starting experience. Since his regular season debut in 2017, he has appeared in 80 of a possible 81 games, including 72 starts at right guard and right tackle. He's never quite been a star, topping out at an overall grade of 62.6 from Pro Football Focus in 2020, but given some of the questions the Steelers offensive line is facing, he could prove a valuable piece as the season wears on.
The #Steelers are trading for #Vikings OL Jesse Davis, per me and @MikeGarafolo.

Apparently, the Vikings will receive a 2025 conditional seventh-round pick in the deal. Needless to say, that's a fairly modest investment on the part of the Steelers. Meanwhile, the Vikings will gain $1.5 million in cap space with the trade.
