Tampa Bay Buccaneers Release Veteran Defensive Back
In a surprising turn of events, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are releasing veteran defensive back Logan Ryan.
The release comes as a bit of a shock, as Ryan had been drawing rave reviews from coaches and staff all through training camp. It's possible the move is only temporary, and the Bucs have every intention of bringing the versatile DB back; as a vested veteran, he is not subject to waivers.

Intially drafted 83rd overall in the 2013 NFL Draft, Ryan won two Super Bowls with the New England Patriots before eventually signing with the Tennessee Titans in 2017 and the New York Giants in 2020. A reliable and sturdy presence in the defensive backfield, Ryan has appeared in at least 14 games in each of his nine seasons, playing a mix of cornerback and safety.
