Steelers Star Defender Leaves Pre-Season Game With Knee Injury

The Pittsburgh Steelers are gearing up for a very tough division race, and with their QB battle going on, that's garnered most of the attention, while most people have been overlooking what a stacked defensive unit this is. All of that is led by and thrives on the effort, energy and determination of T.J. Watt, who tied the NFL single season record for sacks a year ago at 22.5, so seeing him miss any time would be absolutely brutal for Steelers fans and this team.

Thankfully for those fans and this team, you can breathe a sigh of relief, as Watt left Pittsburgh's pre-season finale with a knee injury, but according to Head Coach Mike Tomlin, it's nothing to be concerned about long-term.

Watt has been one of the most impactful defenders in the league since his arrival, and even with the weight that his last name carries around the NFL, he is way on his way to living up to, and potentially even exceeding the expectations that people around the league had of him. So ultimately, the injury scare for Watt is nothing to be concerned about, and with the regular season being two weeks away, Steelers fans should expect to see TJ back on the field looking to break his sack record of 2021.
