NFL Season Preview: Los Angeles Rams
The Los Angeles Rams are coming off their first Super Bowl win since moving back to LA, and given the talent they've not only retained but acquired in this off-season, it's safe to say that they've definitely got plans on getting back there in 2022. With Matthew Stafford and his weapons leading the way, as well as Aaron Donald on the defensive side, this could be the deepest and most talented team in the NFL, to the point where Rams fans would likely see it as a failure if this team can't go back-to-back.
Positives
This entire team is a positive, as they've got stars like Jalen Ramsey, Aaron Donald, Cooper Kupp and Matthew Stafford running the show, and on top of that, Los Angeles were able to add two new stars in Bobby Wagner and Allen Robinson to this team too. Simply put, the Rams are loaded, and if they can take it game by game in 2022, they should be the most dominant team in the NFL on both sides of the ball, and even in a tough NFC West, they're still the standout team by a long shot.
Negatives
For the only time in our season preview series, there's a team with seemingly no negatives, as the Rams have a star or a serviceable player at every single position, and after dominating in 2021 en route to a Super Bowl, they've done nothing but get better since that point. It's incredibly hard to win back-to-back Super Bowls in the NFL, and looking up and down this Rams roster, there's no weakness at all if they stay healthy, so there's no reason why they can't be the first team to do so since the early 2000's New England Patriots.
Team MVP
This team has stars everywhere, with at least 8 players who would be the team MVP on any other team in the NFL, and although Stafford and Kupp are going to put up huge numbers again, it's the dominant Aaron Donald who has and will continue to set the tone for this team. The three-time Defensive Player of the Year should be right in the mix for another in 2022, and with the new additions on defence, any opposing team will struggle to shut him down, and after tasting Super Bowl glory, you can bet that Donald is motivated for more.
Record Prediction
This team does play in a tough division, and will have to work for every win they get in 2022, but with so much talent, it would be a disappointment for the Rams and their fans if they weren't able to come away with one of, if not the best records in the entire NFL. With 17 games to play and such a loaded team, we see them coming away with 13 wins on the year, and the #1 seed in the NFC, putting them in a prime position to repeat as Super Bowl Champions in 2022.
