NFL Rumors: Raiders Trade CB Mullen To Cardinals

The Las Vegas Raiders reportedly traded cornerback Trayvon Mullen to the Arizona Cardinals on Tuesday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter and confirmed by Kevin Conner of Universal Sports Management.

The Cardinals traded a 2023 conditional seventh rounder that has a chance to become a sixth-round pick in this transaction between clubs, Schefter adds.

Mullen, who was drafted by the Raiders in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, was rated highly coming into college where he played at Clemson for three seasons. He started 31 out of 37 games for Las Vegas where the 24-year-old forced four interceptions, and 134 combined tackles (115 solo and 19 assisted).

The Raiders cut ties with their 2021 first-round pick Alex Leatherwood on Tuesday as well.

The former Tigers product only suited up for five games last season dude to a toe injury he sustained early in the season. He also underwent unspecified surgery in May but was activated by the club and put off the reserve/physically unable to perform list in mid August.

Mullen is looking to strengthen a Cardinals defense which includes the likes of Markus Golden, Byron Murphy Jr., and Budda Baker.
