NFL Rumors: Las Vegas Raiders Looking to Move Offensive Lineman
The Las Vegas Raiders aren't happy with their offensive lineman. According to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the team is considering trading or even cutting starting right guard Alex Leatherwood.
Parting ways with Leatherwood would be somewhat of a bad look for the Raiders, as they only just recently drafted him 17th overall in the 2021 draft. But Leatherwood graded poorly despite starting all 17 games last year, and the new regime in town, led by recent head coach hire Josh McDaniels, has no loyalty to a pick they didn't make.

The final first-round pick of the much-maligned Jon Gruden/Mike Mayock era, Leatherwood came into the league out of Alabama as what many draftniks considered a massive reach. Should the Raiders really move forward with cutting him, he'll join other first-round draft picks Henry Rugg III, Damon Arnette, and Clelin Ferrel as embarrassing busts from Mayock's tenure as General Manager.
