Mekhi Becton's season is officially over, as the New York Jets have placed him on injured reserve.

This was an expected move, as it was previously reported that Becton suffered a serious knee injury. As a result of this, his chances of playing in 2022 were immensely low. Now, they are nonexistent given this recent development.

This sucks to see, as Becton was hoping to cement himself a big role with the Jets this season. The former first-round pick was limited to just one game last season. Now, he will appear in zero in 2022.
