New Orleans Saints Wide Receiver Struggling With Injury
Just a few short seasons ago, Michael Thomas was considered among the elite wide receivers in the entire NFL, as he was racking up catches at a historic rate with Drew Brees, but since he was last seen like that, a lot of things have changed. Thomas has unfortunately missed the majority of the past two seasons with injuries, and just a week ago, Dennis Allen had this to say about his star wide receiver:
#Saints HC Dennis Allen on WR Michael Thomas: "When I watch Michael Thomas at practice, I see the Michael Thomas that I saw pre-injury. I see a big, strong, physical, receiver that makes a ton of contested catches. I saw it in these practices. I see a guy that looks pretty good."

Since that point however, Thomas has missed several practices with an undisclosed injury, and while it hasn't been reported as serious, it has to give Saints fans some worries ahead of a very important 2022 season, where they may make a good playoff push with Jameis Winston in at QB. We are hoping to get an update in the coming days, so Saints fans can relax for now, but if Thomas does end up missing significant time again, it's going to be a major concern for the franchise.
Since Thomas last dominated for New Orleans, Drew Brees has left, Alvin Kamara has been in trouble, and so many players have left this squad, and by the time he comes back, he'll be the focal point of the offence, meaning that he'll need to get healthy and step up quickly if this team wants to make a genuine playoff run in 2022.
