New Orleans Saints First-Round Pick To Get Surgery

The New Orleans Saints will be without 2022 first-round pick Trevor Penning indefinitely, as the rookie is set to have foot surgery.

Penning tore a ligament in his foot, and the severity of it is forcing him to get surgery. This is tough to see, as Saint fans were excited to see what the 6-foot-7, 321-pound tackle could do during his first NFL season. Yet, the rookie is now going to have to miss a notable portion of his first season at least following this development.

Here's to hoping that Penning has a speedy recovery and can get back on the field soon.
