Miami Dolphins Release RB Sony Michel
The Miami Dolphins announced several roster changes on Monday, one that notably included running back Sony Michel.
This release is among the many that will come as teams continue to trim their rosters for the final 53 that will play this season.
Michel, who was most known for his time with the New England Patriots from 2018-20, spent a brief stint with the Los Angeles Rams last season before signing with the Dolphins this past May. He ran 208 times for 845 yards, caught four touchdowns, and started 7 out of 17 games in his last campaign.
The Dolphins running depth chart includes the likes of: Chase Edmonds, Raheem Mostert, and Myles Gaskin.
The 27-year-old offensive back won a Super Bowl ring last season but will now have to look to produce for another squad this upcoming season.
