Los Angeles Rams' Running Backs Injury Updates
Akers has been out with a soft tissue injury for a few weeks now and, although it's not considered a serious injury, the longer it takes him to get back on the field, the worse it's starting to look for his Week 1 availability.
In the good news for the Rams, coach Sean McVay said that running back Darrell Henderson was able to go through a full-speed workout. McVay also said that he was "really excited" about getting Henderson back.
Sean McVay's when asked about Akers & Henderson's availability this coming week:

"Darrell was able to run full speed today. We were able to get a workout in on the grass. Cam wasn't able to do that quite yet. I'm really excited about getting Darrell back out there for us."
Darrell Henderson, the Rams RB2 entering the season, appears to have leap-frogged Akers in his recovery, also from a soft-tissue injury.
He's expected to return to practice this week. If Akers can't recover from his soft-tissue injury in time for Week 1, it's looking more and more likely that Henderson will be the Rams primary back for that game.
