Indianapolis Colts Sign Replacement Punter

The Indianapolis Colts have a new punter.  After yesterday's horrible news regarding incumbent Rigoberto Sanchez, Pro Football Network's Aaron Wilson announced today that the Colts were signing former Buffalo Bill Matt Haacke:
The signing comes following Sanchez suffering a devastating torn Achilles in yesterday's practice. Haack, 28, punted for last year's AFC East-winning Bills, averaging 42.9 yards per kick, fifth-worst among qualifying punters. He came available after rookie "Punt God" Matt Araiza won the job over training camp. Drafted in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL draft, Araiza won his moniker at San Diego State, where he averaged an NCAA record-breaking 51.19 yards per punt.

Haack takes over for Sanchez, who handled kick-off as well as punting duties for the Colts. The Colts settled on Haack after also working out Brock Miller, Matt Mengel, Cameron Dicker, Colby Wadman, Matt Bosher, and Hunter Niswander. So, at least they did their due diligence.
