Houston Texans Defensive End Suffers Elbow Injury
The Houston Texans are one of the least talented teams in the NFL, so it hurts even more when a young player showing promise goes down with an injury, but unfortunately today, that's exactly what happened. The 28-year old Derek Rivers has been in the league for a few years now, but never quite gotten a shot to prove what he could do, and after the Texans defeated the San Francisco 49ers, it appears that he suffered a torn biceps tendon in his elbow.

Devastatingly for Rivers, it's not the first time he's built up momentum and then suffered an injury, as it happened during his time in New England too, and this time it's predicted that he'll be out for up to three months with this injury. The defensive end has yet to make an impact at the NFL level, but Texans fans saw him growing before their eyes this off-season, and if he can get back in time to play some games in 2022, there's a chance he starts really gaining momentum.
For now though, this is another unfortunate occurrence in the career of a very talented young player, and we are all hoping that he can get back healthy and begin to contribute and show the type of player he can be in the NFL.
