Giants Rookie Injures Knee In Pre-Season Game
The New York Giants had a great 2022 NFL Draft, mainly due to the fact that Oregon pass rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux fell to them at No. 5, and it seemed like the team had secured its future along the defensive line. While that may be true, the teams second pre-season game of the year against the Bengals had Giants fans terrified, as Thibodeaux was escorted from the field with a knee injury early in the game.
This was due to a cut block from Thaddeus Moss on a run play at the Giants 15, and while many feared the worst when a cart was sent on to the field. Thibodeaux refused however, and limped back to the Giants sideline, eventually heading to the locker room for examination.

There's been no word on the severity of the injury, but it seems that Giants officials are optimistic after originally fearing the worst, but we will find out the extent of it in the coming days. The play itself is causing a split on Twitter, as many saw it as just a genuine cut block that went wrong, while others are calling it a dirty play.
Whatever it's called, the NFL world is hoping that it's just a minor injury and that Thibodeaux can return for Week 1, as his rookie season was set up to be a big one, with a Pro Bowl and Defensive Rookie of the Year certainly in his sights.
