Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver Shows Incredible Big Play Ability

The pre-season is often a time for new faces in new places to build chemistry, as well as giving rookies and un-drafted players a chance to impress coaches, and that's no doubt what former USFL MVP KaVontae Turpin has just likely done for the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys are a squad that can use as many weapons as possible for Dak Prescott, and while Turpin may feature more on special teams in 2022 than anywhere, he showed tonight that that's enough for him to make a huge impact on the team.

In their second pre-season matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers, Turpin electrified the away crowd at SoFi Stadium in LA, as he not only returned a kickoff 98 yards to the house for a score, but did the same with a punt, taking it back 85 yards for a score. Sure, the Chargers aren't known for their abilities as a team on special teams, but still, big play ability like this is something that could help propel the Cowboys season forward, and could give them another big time threat.

Turpin may have been on the fringe of the roster coming into this game, but it's safe to say that after two big scores, he is a name that everyone, not only in Dallas but the entire NFL will now be keeping an eye on going forward. It's tough to keep up this kind of production on special teams, but if he can consistently help get Dallas on the front foot with his kick return game, he's going to be a very good player for this team going forward.
