An MRI confirmed #Browns C Dawson Deaton suffered a torn ACL in practice today, sources say. After Cleveland lost starter Nick Harris the other day, another player at the position goes down. Ethan Pocic and Brock Hoffman still standing, though.

You hate to see something like this to a young player who is just starting his career. Deaton was heading into the season with a real shot of becoming a starter for the Browns, but now that of course can not come to fruition.

Deaton will be aiming to have a speedy recovery and be ready for the 2023 season. It will be intriguing to see what the Texas Tech product can do once he is healthy.
