Cardinals' Brown Arrested and Charged in Arizona
Not a good first impression. Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown was arrested and charged on Wednesday morning with criminal speeding. The Arizona Department of Public Safety confirmed that Brown was arrested early Wednesday morning and booked into Maricopa County Jail.
The Cardinals confirmed they were aware of the situation and wouldn't be making much of a comment about the case. 'Hollywood' Brown was acquired by the team in a draft-day trade with the Baltimore Ravens and is in line for a ton of touches in the desert.
It's going to be a rough start to the season for Cards fans as Brown is likely going to be suspended for his actions, meanwhile the team is already without star wideout DeAndre Hopkins who will sit out the season's first six games after being suspended for performance enhancing drugs.
As for Hollywood, he's coming off a season with the Ravens where he caught 91 balls for 1,007 yards and six touchdowns. Numbers that were in line to grow substantially in Arizona. The 25-year-old now awaits his court date and discipline from the league.

I have no doubt Rashod Bateman can be a WR1…

but Marquise Brown brought unique qualities to this offense.
They’re now losing out on lots of vertical spacing & potential big plays.
Baltimore’s versatility now hinges even heavier on Lamar Jackson.pic.twitter.com/WQToX1i0uv
