Bucs Pro Bowl Center to Miss ''Months''; Two Possible Replacements

Tampa Bay Buccaneers center Ryan Jensen is reportedly expected to miss ''months'', the team's head coach Todd Bowles confirmed Friday.

Jensen was carted off the field Thursday during practice after sustaining a knee injury.

Per Greg Auman, Todd Bowles told media Friday, ''we don't know the severity of it per se, but I do know he'll miss significant time, up to a couple months, whether he'll be back later in the season, November or December, that depends on what they find. He won't be available any time soon.

The loss of the Buccaneers' Pro Bowl center is a massive blow, but it will be interesting to see who they turn to to fill his void.

The team apparently has a strong belief in second-year center Robert Hainsey who, although he has had very limited playing time, has been developing nicely and impressed throughout training camp. There is the possibility the team signs free agent center J.C. Tretter too. Tretter was the seventh overall graded center in the NFL, last season, and the second best at pass blocking. He may be too good to pass up for the Buccaneers.
