Rams Cooper Kupp Comments On Future of Odell Beckham Jr
Make no mistake about it, if it was up to Cooper Kupp who the Los Angeles Rams sign this offseason, Odell Beckham Jr would be at the top of his list.
Kupp recently was a guest on 'First Take' and had this to say about lining up with OBJ on his side:
I would absolutely love nothing more than just to be able to have him come back and be a part of what we're building here. What he was able to do coming into this offense, learning it and then being able to go and execute the way he did was absolutely incredible
The Rams are in a bit of a tough spot just due to the fact Beckham Jr suffered a major knee injury during the Super Bowl and there's certainly a risk that comes with signing a player coming off major health concerns.
The good news for Kupp and Rams fans is how management and OBJ have been in contact and it appears both sides are willing to work something out together. Early on this offseason there were some mixed messages being sent out from everyone involved and it also didn't help the cause when the Rams signed veteran wide receive Allen Robinson early on this offseason.
Expect to see Beckham Jr head back to California or make his way north east back to the Cleveland Browns now that Baker Mayfield is the backup and likely being moved in the coming weeks. It appears these two teams are the favorites to sign OBJ and if Kupp had any say in the matter, he'd be making sure to save some locker space with the Rams.
