Houston Texans Sign Defensive End
The Houston Texans have signed Rasheem Green to a one-year contract for the 2022 campaign.
Green just completed a four-year stint with the Seattle Seahawks. During the 2021 season, he started in 16 games for the team, where he set new career highs in combined tackles (48) and sacks (6.5). Thus, the Texans are adding a player who is coming off of a very solid season.
Green is a defensive end who seems to be ready to take that next step as a player. In 53 career games with Seattle, he has 94 combined tackles and 13.5 sacks. It will be intriguing to see how he follows up his best NFL season. Perhaps if he continues to improve, he could land himself a multi-year extension from Houston after the year is over.
