Free-Agent WR Jarvis Landry On The Move!
Jarvis Landry is going home. The veteran wide receiver is set to sign with the New Orleans Saints, after growing up in Louisiana and playing college football for LSU.
"WHO DAT NATION SEE YOU SOON" - wrote Landry on Instagram on Friday as he decided to break his own news. The new deal comes after the Cleveland Browns tried to trade Landry and were unsuccessful at the NFL Draft so granted the wide out his release.
The two sides try to restructure his contract but couldn't agree to terms and it appears to be a blessing in disguise as Landry heads to the Saints to play in front of family and friends every week. The 29-year-old is heading to NOLA after a down season with the Browns. He was riddled with injuries which started in Week 2 and missed a total of five weeks.
Landry finished the season with 52 catches for 570 yards and four touchdowns, these tallies were all career lows. The Saints are hopeful the wide receiver will be able to hit the reset button on his career and get back to the type of numbers we all saw from his days with the Miami Dolphins to begin his career. The five time Pro Bowler has played eight seasons in the NFL, collecting 688 receptions for 7,598 yards and 37 touchdowns.
With three 1k receiving seasons and two 100-catch seasons, Jarvis Landry’s the perfect fit for #Saints’ offense.

He’s tough as nails/highly durable too: Juice played in 15+ games during his first 7 years.
