Texans Sign Veteran Cornerback
The Houston Texans have signed Steven Nelson to a two-year, $10 million contract.
Nelson spent the 2021 season as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles. In 16 starts with the squad, he had one interception and 50 combined tackles. Overall, it was another solid year for the 29-year-old cornerback, and he will be aiming to carry over that momentum to the Texans.
Nelson will also provide the Texans with more overall experience. In 98 career games between the Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Philadelphia Eagles, he has eight interceptions and 341 combined tackles.
Nevertheless, it will be intriguing to see how this Nelson signing impacts the Texans from here.
