Saints Re-Sign Veteran Cornerback
The New Orleans Saints are staying busy, as they have now re-signed P.J. Williams to a one-year contract.
Williams just completed his sixth season with the Saints, and it was a solid one for the veteran. In 16 games on the year, he had 2.0 sacks, 42 combined tackles, three interceptions, and even a touchdown. With numbers like these, it is understandable that the Saints were open to bringing him back for another year.
In 78 career games with New Orleans, Williams has 233 combined tackles, 4.0 sacks, eight interceptions, and two touchdowns. With this move, he will now have the opportunity to build on his statistics with the only team he has ever been a part of.
Nevertheless, it will be intriguing to see how Williams performs for the Saints from here.
