NFL Rumors: Tom Brady's Future With Buccaneers In Doubt

Although Tom Brady is set to be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers starting quarterback for the 2022 season, his future with the team after it is in question. While speaking with reporters, Jason Licht noted that they haven't had a single discussion about the possibility of a contract extension.

After Brady temporarily retired, there were rumblings that the future Hall of Famer was considering the possibility of becoming not only the starting QB of the Miami Dolphins but also one of their owners. Yet, things failed on that front, but one has to wonder if he could explore this possibility again next offseason.

There is always the distinct possibility that Brady could elect to permanently retire after this season. In terms of his skill level, he is still elite, but when seeing as how he temporarily hung up his cleats after the 2021 campaign, it wouldn't be shocking to see again.

Nevertheless, time will tell what happens with Brady from here. When it comes to the Buccaneers and their fans, they will be hoping that the legend ends up staying put after this year.
