NFL Rumors: Texans Set Asking Price For Brandin Cooks
On Monday, we reported that teams were calling the Houston Texans about the availability of Brandin Cooks. Now, their asking price for the wide receiver has been revealed, as they are seeking a second-round pick for him.
If a contender wants to add Cooks to their roster, that asking price is entirely acceptable. Cooks has the ability to be a major contributor to a team's offense, so there should be plenty of interest in him around the league.
In 16 games last season with Houston, he had six touchdowns, a career-high 90 receptions, and 1,037 yards. That kind of offense certainly is solid and if he were to join a team with a top-of-the-line quarterback, they could improve even more during the 2022 season.
Cooks has put together a strong career, too. In 119 career games between the New Orleans Saints, New England Patriots, Los Angeles Rams, and Texans, he has 46 TDs, 573 receptions, and 7,917 yards. It will be intriguing to see if he has the chance to build on these totals with another club next season.
