NFL Rumors: Browns Interested In Texans WR
Brandin Cooks' name has jumped into the rumor mill as of late, and things seem to be escalating on that front. Not only have the Houston Texans set an asking price of a second-round pick for him, but now we have confirmation that one team is considering acquiring the veteran. According to Mary Kay Cabot, the Cleveland Browns have entered the sweepstakes.
If the Browns were to acquire Cooks, it would reunite him with former teammate Deshaun Watson. It certainly wouldn't be a bad thing for the superstar QB to once again play with the receiver. Thus, that definitely could help a trade occur.
Cooks had himself another solid season in 2021. In 16 games, he had six touchdowns, 90 receptions, and 1,037 yards. Overall, adding that kind of weapon to their offense could be extremely beneficial for the Browns. It will be intriguing to see if anything ends up coming to fruition because of it.
Nevertheless, with the offseason moving along, this is something all football fans should keep a close eye on.
