Jets Release Tight End
The New York Jets have released Ryan Griffin from their roster. With this, the 32-year-old tight end will be looking for a new home elsewhere.
Griffin just completed his third season as a Jet. In 14 games with the team, he had two touchdowns, 27 receptions, and 261 yards. Overall, with numbers like these, there's a pretty good chance that another team will consider adding him. This is especially true if their depth at tight end isn't the best.
Griffin comes with a decent amount of NFL experience, so that very well could help his chances of signing elsewhere. In 119 career games between the Houston Texans and Jets, he has 14 touchdowns and 206 receptions.
Nevertheless, with the Jets adding multiple tight ends this offseason, it makes sense that they now have viewed Griffin as expendable. Let's see what happens with the veteran from here.
