NFL Rumors: Seahawks Reject Huge Trade From Commanders
The Washington Commanders reportedly made a major push to acquire Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. They offered multiple first-round picks for the star quarterback, but the Seahawks rejected the offer immediately.
There have been plenty of rumblings that Wilson will be moved before the start of this upcoming season. However, it seems that there's a very good chance he will remain in Seattle after they rejected this notable offer from Washington. Furthermore, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll also noted that the franchise has "no intention" to move Wilson.
The Commanders have been linked to several big-name quarterbacks this offseason, and Wilson appeared to be their primary target after this offer. However, unfortunately for them, it seems that they will not be able to successfully acquire the 33-year-old. They now will have to focus elsewhere.
In 14 games this past season with the Seahawks, Wilson threw 25 touchdowns, six interceptions, and 3,113 total yards.
