Wagner was released by the Seattle Seahawks earlier this offseason. This decision came immediately before Seattle traded Russell Westbrook to the Denver Broncos. Needless to say, the team is planning to have an entirely new cast of core players, so now the Rams have the chance to land Wagner because of it.
Wagner made his eighth-straight Pro Bowl this season with Seattle. In 16 games, he had 170 combined tackles, 1.0 sacks, and one interception. It was another very productive year for the 31-year-old, so it makes sense that Los Angeles is aiming to sign him. With that, they just lost Von Miller and need to find a replacement for him.
Nevertheless, if all goes well during their upcoming meet, don't be surprised to see Wagner ink a deal with the Rams.
