NFL Rumors: Packers Interested In Star Wide Receiver
Although the Green Bay Packers were able to sign Aaron Rodgers to an extension, their offseason hasn't been perfect. They have lost two wide receivers in Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, so the team will need to make some additions before the start of the regular season. According to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, one receiver who they are considering is Odell Beckham Jr.
Beckham Jr. has been linked to several different teams, which is understandable given how well he played for the Los Angeles Ram last season. In eight games with the team, he had five touchdowns, 27 receptions, and 305 yards. He also was effective during the postseason, as he had two touchdowns in four contests.
Although he sustained a torn ACL in his left knee, Beckham Jr. could be a very solid long-term addition for Green Bay. Yet, if they were to successfully sign him to a deal, they would also need to bring in at least one more receiver for the start of the 2022 season.
Nevertheless, this certainly is an intriguing development. Let's see if Green Bay emerges as the unexpected winners of this major sweepstakes.
