NFL Rumors: Lions To Pursue Wide Receiver

The Detroit Lions are expected to pursue Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson.

This isn't too surprising to hear, as the Lions are looking to improve at the wide receiver position and will be weighing all of their options because of it. Robinson is set to be a free agent, and he is certainly among the most notable from this year's group.

The 2021 season wasn't particularly a strong one for Robinson, though. In 12 games, he had just one touchdown to go along with 38 receptions and 410 yards. Perhaps a change of scenery could be exactly what helps him find his previous form. Detroit could make sense for the 28-year-old personally, as that is where he grew up.

In 100 career games between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Bears, Robinson has 40 touchdowns, 495 receptions, and 6,409 yards. His 2015 campaign is the one fans will always remember, as he made the Pro Bowl and had an impressive 14 touchdowns in the process.

Nevertheless, don't be surprised to see the Lions pursue Robinson heavily once he officially hits the market.
