NFL Rumors: Giants Looking To Make Big Trade
According to Ralph Vacchiano, the New York Giants are open to trading one of their first-round picks in this year's NFL Draft.
When remembering that the Giants have both the fifth and seventh overall picks this season, it will force another team to give up a decent return. Vacchiano also noted that any trade involving either of those picks will have to include a 2023 first-round pick as a starting point.
With the 2022 draft not possessing the deepest of talent at the quarterback position, it does make sense that they are looking for a first-round pick next year. The 2023 draft class is expected to have more notable options at that position. Keep in mind, there's a good chance that the team will be moving on from Daniel Jones after this season if he does not take a big step forward in 2022.
It will be interesting to see if the Giants do decide to part ways with one of their top picks this year. As we get closer to draft day, we will have our answer.
