Houston Texans Release Cornerback

The Houston Texans are set to release Terrance Mitchell.

Mitchell just completed his first season with Houston and had himself a decent role with the organization. In 14 appearances, with 13 of them being starts, he had 60 tackles to go along with an interception. Although he wasn't dominant, he did provide overall reliability.

With this move, the Texans will save over $3 million. Although this isn't a lot of cap space, it still provides them with more money to make upgrades to their roster elsewhere.

Mitchell could end up getting a decent amount of attention around the league because of his solid amount of NFL experience. In 83 career games between the Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, Cleveland Browns, and Texans, he has eight interceptions and 269 tackles. Let's see where the veteran ends up next.
