Dolphins Sign Quarterback
The Miami Dolphins have signed Teddy Bridgewater to a one-year, $6.5 million contract. It also comes with $3.5 million of incentives, so he can earn up to $10 million.
Bridgewater was linked to several teams in need of a starting quarterback, but he now has found a home that already has one in Tua Tagovailoa. However, with this Bridgewater signing, there is now a competition for the starting job.
As starter of the Denver Broncos last season, Bridgewater threw 18 touchdowns, seven interceptions, and 3,052 total yards. With that, he had a 7-7 record, so overall, he definitely had some solid moments with the team. He certainly has done enough to earn himself some consideration for the starting job in Miami.
Nevertheless, this is a little bit of a surprise signing. It will be interesting to see who Miami picks as their starter for the regular season.
