Aaron Rodgers Signs Historic Contract With Packers
The Green Bay Packers have signed Aaron Rodgers to a record-breaking four-year, $200 million contract extension.
With this, Rodgers is set to make an average of $50 million per season. With this, he will make the most money per season out of any player in NFL history.
Rodgers' future with Green Bay was in jeopardy before this extension was agreed upon. It was reported that he was choosing between the Packers, Denver Broncos, Tennessee Titans, and Pittsburgh Steelers. The decision was ultimately Rodgers to make, and he has decided to remain with the Packers.
This is excellent news for Green Bay, as it means that they will remain among the favorites in the league from here. The 2021 season was another excellent one for Rodgers, as he threw 37 touchdowns, four interceptions, and 4,115 yards. With this, he was named NFL MVP for the fourth time in his career and received several other awards and accolades in the process.
Alas, we now know where Rodgers will be playing in 2022 - he's staying put.
