NFL Rumors: 3 QB's Expected to be Traded This Offseason
The NFL is going to provide one of the craziest offseasons we have ever seen and look for a number of talented stars to be changing teams. This includes some veteran quarterbacks as the trade market predicts to see big names on the move in 2022. Let's take a look at three potential trade targets as this offseason gets closer to the March 16 kick off:
Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks
It could finally be time for a new play-caller under center as Russell Wilson is one of the biggest names on the trade market. While the team continues to mention they aren't shopping him and strictly are listening to offers, he's never been closer to being dealt in his career. Last season we saw the trade destination list revealed by Wilson and his agent as this season you can expect to see the QB heading to one of the Washington Commanders, New Orleans Saints, or Pittsburgh Steelers.
Jimmy Garoppolo, San Francisco 49ers
Reports have surfaced and all but confirmed that Jimmy G is going to be moved this offseason. Trey Lance is ready for prime time in California and look for the 49ers to shop Garoppolo aggressively when the offseason opens up in mid-March. One team to watch here - Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It's kind of ironic that Garoppolo will once again be linked to Tom Brady. A trade is expected as the Bucs would be very comfortable with Garoppolo leading the way for the next few seasons.
Carson Wentz, Indianapolis Colts
It went from bad to worse for the Colts this season as they provided one of the ugliest collapses in NFL history. The team did not commit to keeping Wentz as 'the man' and trade speculation has picked up ever since. One team to watch here - Washington Commanders as they have confirmed interest in trading for Wentz and aren't ever shy of making bold moves. Wentz isn't flashy but he's a veteran who can get the job done and would be a great foundation for the Commanders to kick off their 'inaugural' season.
