Bucs Coach Disciplined By NFL For Smacking Player
As we reported earlier this week, Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians smacked defensive back Andrew Adams during the team's 31-15 victory over the Eagles last weekend. The play in which Arians stepped on the field to hit Adams was a fumble recovery where Arians felt that the 29-year-old was at risk of drawing a penalty due to his aggression in the ensuing pile. For those who haven't seen the play, here it is:

At the time, nothing official had come down from the NFL in regards to any discipline, just that the situation was reportedly "being handled". On Wednesday, we got an official ruling from the NFL after reviewing the play: Bruce Arians will be fined $50,000.00 for his actions according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.
Arians, who has been the Bucs' coach since 2019, told reporters he plans to appeal the fine.
