Huge News for the New York Giants Ahead of MNF
The New York Giants are getting some fresh bodies back as star running back Saquon Barkley is expected to make his triumphant return to the field on Monday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Barkley has been sidelined for four weeks due to an ankle injury as the past couple of seasons have been hard on the Giants tail back. He was limited in practice all week according to the Giants but appears good enough to go against the Bucs.
Apparently he would have played last week, however Barkley had a false positive come out of a COVID-19 test and that totally wiped away any chance of him playing.
Barkley is a huge addition to any fantasy team owner as we approach the home stretch. He's still only 24 years old and should be able to get back to full strength rather quickly, which could mean 150-plus yard games.
Unfortunately it's just been a waiting game for owners as Barkley has struggled when he's played in 2021, averaging only 3.6 yards per carry over the five appearances.
