Done Deal: Houston Texans and New Orleans Saints Complete a Trade
The New Orleans Saints have found their man. The team is welcoming back running back Mark Ingram with open arms. The power back has been reacquired by the Saints from the Houston Texans.
Ingram will join his Saints teammates for a practice/walk through on Friday and is expected to be in the lineup on Sunday and we know Alvin Kamara is going to happy to hear the news. Kamara tweeted out his support for the move and is ecstatic to be sharing the backfield with Ingram once again.
As for the Texans, not everyone was happy to see Ingram get dealt as wide receiver Brandin Cooks tweeted this out shortly after:
This is bullshit. Such a joke

So far in 2021, Ingram has rushed for 294 yards and a score across the seven weeks in Houston. He's under contract for only this season at $2.5 million. Kamara isn't the only Saints teammate thrilled with the news as Ingram spent 2011-18 with the club and left his mark on the franchise.
Kamara will be happy to pass on some of the work as he's on pace to shatter his touches record. The two looked unstoppable at times throughout the 2017 season and they will be fun to watch down the stretch for the Saints.
