Report: Detroit Lions Closing In On Trade
The Detroit Lions are inching closer to making a trade as management has been in talks with several teams about a deal for linebacker Jamie Collins.
The #Lions are exploring trade options involving LB Jamie Collins, sources say. They have fielded calls. Detroit is going young there, which means Collins may be on his way out if there is a match.

It's getting so close with the trade that the Lions are holding Collins from practicing with the team as his tenure certainly appears to be over. The 31-year-old has been solid for the Lions, leading the team in 2020 with 101 tackles. So far in 2021, Collins has kept up the production, recording 10 tackles and one QB hit.
The Lions have a series of young linebackers they want to give a look to and are looking to move the veteran out to make room. Collins has two seasons left on his contract. So far the Lions are 0-2 and it doesn't look to be getting any better in Detroit. Maybe Collins is one of the lucky ones?
