NY Jets QB Knew Team Was Going to Struggle
While Zach Wilson may be confident in his own abilities, the rookie quarterback of the New York Jets knew there was going to be a learning curve, and he would be feeling a ton of pain in the NFL before pleasure.
Wilson and the Jets took on the Denver Broncos on Sunday and let's just say Week 3 was a disaster. The Jets were pounded 28-0 and the offense looked horrible at times and like it was their first snap together. Wilson met with the media after the game and didn't shy away from the fact there's going to be pain:
It's tough, but it's making us stronger. I feel like it's making me stronger. This is hard. I didn't experience this in college. And the crazy thing is, I knew it was going to be like this.
The Jets have been getting blasted all season so far, and now have been outscored 51-6 in their last two weeks. Against the Broncos, Wilson threw his seventh interception of the season and only threw for 160 yards total. He took five sacks and was hit multiple other times.
Welcome to the NFL, Mr Thomas:
For the record, I don’t put this loss on Zach Wilson. I still believe Zach Wilson can play in the NFL.

The #Jets have given him no help.
His protection: 5 sacks
His playmakers: Zero help
What exactly is a rookie to do?
