Las Vegas Raiders Look To Continue Rolling

The Las Vegas Raiders head into their Week 3 matchup against the Miami Dolphins with a ton of confidence. They've taken down two potential AFC contenders in the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers but can they keep the train rolling against The Fins?

Miami's in a tough spot right now with Tua Tagovailoa placed on the IR for at least three weeks and two performances that were on complete opposite sides of the spectrum. A one-point nailbiter against the New England Patriots followed by a beatdown courtesy of the Buffalo Bills gives us nothing to go off of ahead of Sunday's game in Vegas in terms of what team will show up. The Raiders, however, are poised to take advantage of another opportunity at a 3-0 start as well as secure their future regarding a playoff scenario.

With the wins over Baltimore and Pittsburgh to start the year, a win against Miami can be an important tiebreaker in the AFC. Quarterback Derek Carr leads the NFL with 817 passing yards and looks as good as ever. According to Pro Football Focus, Carr has the fourth-highest QB passing grade and the Raiders are the No. 7 scoring offence and No. 1 yardage offence this year, so far.

Numbers and stats are great and all but results have to follow. So far, they have been and with their next six games against Miami, Los Angeles Chargers, Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos, Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants, the Raiders could hypothetically be 7-1 (predicting a loss to the Chargers) by the time the middle of the season arrives. It's two thumbs up for the Raiders' start.
