Dallas Cowboys Tackle Suspended 5 Games!
Dallas Cowboys right tack La'el Collins has been suspended for five games after he violated the NFL's substance abuse policy. The suspension comes because Collins has apparently missed several drug tests and the league said enough is enough.
The 28-year-old tackle was in line for a bounce back season after missing all of last year with a hip injury. Collins suited up in the team's week one matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He's now eligible to dress once against in Week 7, unfortunately for him the team has a bye that week and play the Minnesota Vikings in Week 8.
Look for the Cowboys to turn to Terence Steele and Ty Nsekhe in Collins' absence, as the Cowboys have reasonable depth at their right tackle position. The team also received some bad news when it comes to their receiving core as Michael Gallup strained his calf and will miss at least three weeks.
Tough start for the Cowboys.
