Cardinals' Jones Shines in Week One Win After Making Trade Request
Arizona Cardinals edge rusher Chandler Jones wanted a new contract this past offseason and it never came. He then requested a trade out of town after the team refused his contract request. While Jones started Week One essentially empty handed, he made sure to get his hands on Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill.
Jones put on a clinic on Sunday as he recorded five sacks and two forced fumbles in the 38-13 win over the Titans. This was Jones' second career game with four or more sacks and two-plus forced fumbles. According to NFL Research, Jones became the only player to accomplish the feat multiple times within the last 20 years on league play.
Jones clinic was on full display and nobody saw it up close and personal like Taylor Lewan of the Titans who was the left tackle Jones kept making look like a fool.
Got my ass kicked today, no way around that. I let the team and the fans down. Thank you @chanjones55 for exposing me. It will only force me to get better.
