Baltimore Ravens Dealt More Horrible News Before Week One
The Baltimore Ravens are supposed to be one of the best teams in the NFL this season on both sides of the ball. Unfortunately the team has already been hammered with injuries and have some early adversity to get over. On Thursday at practice both RB Gus Edwards and CB Marcus Peters tore their ACL's basically one player right after each the next.
As expected, tests confirmed both players tore their ACLs. Marcus Peters and Gus Edwards out for the season. https://t.co/laX2pLU9BM

Both players are expected to miss the entire season as the injuries have piled up and the season hasn't even started for the Ravens. The team cancelled practice after the two starters went down.
Peters is one of the best corners in the game, a three-time Pro Bowler who along with Marlon Humphrey pose one of the best duos in the league. Last season he recorded four picks, and was looking to build off a fine season in 2021.
As for Edwards this is a gut-punch. Earlier on in the preseason, starter J.K Dobbins tore his ACL and Edwards was handed the keys to run with. Unfortunately for him he didn't even make it in for a snap. This has actually been a sick trend for the Ravens, and by sick I mean devastating. The team is already without backup RB Justice Hill as well who tore his ACL days after Dobbins. Talk about a string of bad luck and what's with all the ACL's?
The Ravens move on in the backfield with Ty'Son Williams as the 1A and polarizing veteran Le'Veon Bell who was recently signed to the practice squad. Look for Baltimore to also give Latavius Murray and Devonta Freeman a look early on this season.
